Agnes Water, OZ
Two Saturday nights that didn't end before Sunrise now. It's 2 in the afternoon and I haven't slept in. . . 30 hours. Drove on the morning free tour a few hours ago, had the entire troop carrier singing "Jingle Bells," as I bounced my way up the washed out track. Fun!
Last night, we went out to the pub where a band from Brisbane was playing. That is a huge deal here. They rocked. Greg and I stormed the dance floor as the openning chords of "Enter Sandman" blared out. By the night's end, I was a soaked, sweaty mess.
After the bar closed, we wandered/staggered back to the hostel, I stopped off at the bakery for a sausage roll (the back door is open at night, and the baker's are flexible on pricing). Several people were still up, so we carried on, drinking, carousing and watching Stef's van bounce on its springs. I eventually retired to my own van with Sam, the resident porn here at Cool Banana's. I don't like the term "Fuck Buddy" but we're having fun, and it's pretty laid back, no real restrictions.
I got to do some work in a travel agent capacity this week as I became Kiki's travel advisor. After several phone calls to Qantas, we sorted things out perfectly, and while Kiki had some doubts in my skills at one point, she hugged me in joy when I finally told her what'd been arranged and at what price. I am the man.
So, I continue cleaning the van, and getting ready for my trip up to Airlie.
